Festivals
How to join?
Speak to your Childs teacher and request a 1-1 private lesson to learn either a solo/duet/trio. Alternatively, request to join the festival group class for either classical or theatre dance.
Decide on the number of festivals and venues from our local list- Miss Kirsten is our lead advisor on the Festivals and can advise.
Join a festival class to practise your dance/dances by booking on the portal.
Nominated Festivals
Portsmouth, Southsea, Fareham, Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet, Pertersfield are a few of our nominated festivals.
Students who qualify for the All England with the entry mark at the local festivals will be eligible to compete at the All England Festival Regional competitions.
Entry to the All England Finals is facilitated via a Nominated Festival. Nominated Festivals provide the perfect pathway through the All England Dance competition. Our festivals provide the platform to qualify for the Regional and National Finals. Dance Schools may secure space by contacting these local festivals.
The festivals are a great opportunity to build confidence, share skills, meet new friends and complete to win medals and trophies.
About AED
All England Dance celebrates dancers aged from three to 21 years. Performers qualify through a network of nationwide nominated festivals to participate in one of the five Regional Finals in May.
Selected dancers are invited to The National Grand Final in July. Regional and National Finals take place on a biennial basis to facilitate the qualification process.
